I discovered my passion for holistic wellness 10 years ago, following the untimely passing of my mom. She lived with kidney disease for over a decade, but it wasn’t until much later that I realized the deep impact that long-term stress and anxiety had on her health.
She was an over-protective, often frantic, helicopter parent even in my adult years. Though rooted in love, her constant worrying took a tremendous toll on her emotional, mental, and physical well-being. For years, she overindulged in ultra-processed foods, sugary drinks, and her decades-long cigarette smoking habit — all of which she used to mask the emotional weight she carried.
It wasn’t until I began studying Holistic Nutrition that I fully understood how our emotional health affects every system in the body. Through the lens of mindfulness, nourishment, movement, and energy, I began to see her lifestyle choices not just as "bad habits," but as survival strategies for a nervous system that was constantly in overdrive.
Losing a parent feels indescribable. Navigating that grief has been the most difficult journey of my life — one I continue to walk every day. But through research and my time studying at the Energetic Health Institute, I’ve began supporting my mind, body, and spirit through the process with intention using energizing foods, mindful movement, and safe spaces for emotional release. The journey isn't about eliminating stress, but learning how to meet those vulnerable moments with care.
I created Soulistic Wellness Center to help other women who feel overwhelmed, depleted, or disconnected from themselves. If you’ve been carrying the weight of stress for far too long, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out alone, either.
